Notes : The youngest ever Project 40 player, 4 months younger than when Bobby Convey joined. He was part of the full-time residency program to help the US U/17 national team. Had the highest number of assists for the team and is second in goals. At the Mundialito of Salerno Tournament in Italy won the tournament's Golden Boot award as top scorer. Was drafted 8th in the first round by DC United in the MLS Superdraft 2001. Quaranta became the youngest to play and score a goal in the MLS. Won Player of the Week in the MLS on July 15 2001 after his second two goal game of the season. His good form led to a call-up to the All Star Game in his first season as a Commissioner's Pick. Ended with 5 goals in the 2001 season. Has interested Manchester United. Injury ended his second season prematurely and he finished with three goals and four assists for 2002.
