Notes              : Youngest player in the US side for the World U/17 Championships in 2001. Despite this fact he has been a key player for the side throughout the youth internationals before and during the tournament. He controls the US in the midfield as the playmaker. He was named as a 2001 Parade All-American for high school soccer and was the youngest player named. He also helped the Chicago Sockers to the US Youth U/16 National Championships. Was signed for Project-40 to play in the MLS in 2002 and was chosen 17th in the MLS SuperDraft by Chicago Fire. Capano became the second youngest person to have played in the MLS in 2002 at 16 years 9 months and 28 days. However he was not involved much in the first team for his first season.
