Notes              : Gallagher worked his way up through the youth ranks at Blackburn Rovers before making his debut against Arsenal in March 2003. He did not appear again until the 2003/04 season. By the start of 2004 Gallagher began to make an impact in the Premier League side, along with another youngster Jonathan Stead, who was signed from Huddersfield. He scored three goals before

his good form resulted in making his debut for the Scottish national side for a friendly against Wales during February 2004, which Scotland lost 4-0.
