Notes : Russian youth international who signed for Spartak Moscow from Spartak Tambov in early 2002, after having trials at Nantes and Metz . He was given a chance at the CIS Cup where he scored six goals but could not help Spartak Moscow win the final, losing 4-3 to Dynamo Kiev. His good form led to Sychev making his full international debut for Russia against Estonia in March 2002. He was due to moved to Milan in the middle of 2002 but the transfer was never finalised. Was involved in the Russian 2002 World Cup squad, scoring a goal against Belgium. After playing for only half a year with Spartak Moscow Sychev decided to abandon his club, which resulted in a four month ban. After finishing this suspension Sychev decided to move to Olympique Marseille in France, rejecting an offer from Dynamo Kiev. He scored three goals for Marseille in the second half of the 2002/03 season.
