Notes              : In a few months Sneijder moved from the reserves of Ajax to the full Dutch international team. He made his debut for Ajax in the Dutch league in December 2002. Sneijder’s good form led to a regular first team place and a call-up to the Dutch U/21 side in March 2003. Soon after, with only eight games in the first team of Ajax, Sneijder made his full international debut in April 2003 against Portugal. He was the eighth youngest Dutch international. After this match Sneijder signed a contract with Ajax until 2007. He was also involved in the Champion’s League campaign where Ajax reached the quarter-finals where they were knocked out by Milan.
