Notes              : Playmaker of Dutch team at European U/16 Championships 2000, scoring two goals including one in a 5-0 win over Greece in the third place play-off. Made one appearance for Ajax first team in 1999/00 season in April 2000 before also playing in the 2000 European U/18 Championships  and World Youth Cup. Has become the star of the Ajax first team since, scoring seven goals in twenty-seven games in 2000/02 and was named as Talent of the Year in Holland for 2001. Was named Young Player of the Year in the Dutch league for 2001/02, with fourteen goals in twenty matches, helping Ajax win both the Dutch league and cup. Van Der Vaart made his full international debut in October 2001 against Andorra.
