Notes              : Started in the top division at Groningen in 2001 and quickly became a regular first team player. After just twenty-two games and two goals PSV Eindhoven became interested and signed him to a five year contract in the middle of 2002. Dutch U/19 international captain who followed Arjen Robben from Groningen to PSV. Hoogstrate was loaned back to Groningen for the 2002/03 season.
