Notes              : Schweinsteiger made his Bayern Munich debut in late 2002, helping the club to a league and cup double in his first season. He continued his strong progress in his second season, becoming a first team regular. After scoring a goal at the European U/21 Championships in 2004 he was called up to the full international squad for the European Championships. He played in all three group games but Germany did not progress from this stage.
