Notes              : Was equal top scorer at the 2000 Asian U/16 Championships with teammate Sho Kitano. Both players scored six goals. He has represented Japan at U/18 level and was involved in the Japanese team at the World U/17 Championships in 2001. He impressed at the tournament especially in the 1-0 victory over USA where Abe scored the solitary goal, but Japan were knocked out in the group stage. Joined Yokohama F. Marinos in 2002.
