Notes              : He was prevented from playing at the World U/17 Championships in 1999 after fracturing his knee but he managed to be involved in 2001. He scored a hat-trick in the African U/17 Championships to help them qualify. He was involved with the youth side of Austrian side FC Tirol before being loaned to third division club Wattens where he scored seven goals in his first eight games. Scored three goals to help Burkina Faso to third place at the World U/17 Championships in 2001. Sanou has since moved to Swiss side FC Sion.
