Diego Walsh

College: Southern Methodist

He was named the Player of the Year for the Missouri Vally Conference after recorded a league-leading 14 assists this season. This led to him scoring 34 points including ten goals. A first-team All-Conference selection, Walsh helped lead SMU to a Valley record of 10-1 and the regular-season conference title. He helped Southern Methodist reach the Final Four where they were defeated by eventual winners Connecticut. In 1999 he was named WAC Freshman of the Year also earned first team All-WAC status.
