Notes: Named the MVC tournament's MVP as he scored seven points including both goals in the four-overtime championship match which by winning sent the Bluejays to their ninth-straight NCAA Tournament Was named to 2000 Missouri Valley Conference first team. Was also first-team all-conference as a sophomore and was named to the 1997 MVC all-Newcomer squad after becoming the highest-scoring Creighton freshman since the 1990 squad with 21 points on seven goals and seven assists in 1997. At prep earned the 1997 Gatorade Colorado Player of the Year and also 1996 All-America honors from Parade and Umbro. He also earned first-team all-state honors as a senior after missing the majority of his junior year due to a skull fracture suffered while going for a header during the fourth game of the year.
