CAF QUALIFIERS

The African qualifiers were made up of two rounds and a preliminary round. The first round and preliminary round are both knockout over two legs. The twelve remaining teams are put into three groups of four teams with the winner of each group qualifying for the Olympics. The best runner-up in the three groups qualifies for a play-off with the Oceania winner.

These results mean that Nigeria, Cameroon and Morocco qualify for the Olympics with South Africa reaching the AFC/OFC play-off.
