Notes              : One of two very talented youngsters for Santos along with Diego Ribas. The two players led Santos to their first domestic title since 1984 (the year Robinho was born) by winning the Brasileiro championship in 2002. Robinho starred in the second leg of the final, scoring a penalty and setting up another two goals to help Santos win 3-2 for the night and 5-2 on aggregate. His dribbling skills have encouraged comparisons with Brazilian great Garrincha. Robinho made his full international debut for Brazil at the 2003 Gold Cup, where Brazil fielded an U/23 team to prepare for the Olympic Games. Along with Diego Ribas he helped Brazil reach the final where they were defeated by Mexico.
