Notes              : Played at 1999 U/17 World Youth Championships. U/18 Captain and U/20 international. At the time he joined Convey was the youngest ever player to join Project-40 and to play in the MLS. He was allocated to DC United after being selected with the 12th pick of the MLS Superdraft in 2000.  Convey played 22 games in his first MLS season in 2000 and was impressive. This form led to his international debut against Mexico on 25/10/00. Convey's second season would be cut short by hernia surgery but he would still manage the second most assist for DC United with seven and becoming the youngest ever goalscorer in the MLS at the age of 17 years, 10 months and 11 days. In 2002 Convey became the star player for DC United playing twenty six games and scoring five goals for the season from his left wing position
