Notes              : Was a member of the US Under-17 side which finished fourth at the World U/17 Championships in 1999. Comes from a Korean background and joined UCLA college for 2000. In 2000 he started every game in the college season and was named Pac-10 Freshman of the Year and made the 2000 Soccer America All-Freshman team. He is wanted by the MLS but is attracting overseas interest with rumours of Brescia in Italy after his impressive play at the 2001 Toulon tournament and 2001 World Youth Cup. Signed an 18 month contract with Serie C1 side Nocerina in 2002. Nocerina are seen as a feeder club and Yi could be joined there by Nelson Akwari.
