Cesc

Position         : Forward

Date of birth : 4 May, 1987

Team              : Arsenal (England)

Nationality     : Spain

Notes              : Cesc proved that he would become one of the future stars of soccer with his outstanding performances for Spain at the World U/17 Championships in 2003. This led to a move from Spanish side Barcelona to English side Arsenal, with Barcelona unable to sign him to a contract, as he was too young. Cesc started off the bench at the World U/17 Championships but quickly became the key playmaker of his side. Despite being a year younger than many of the other players involved in the tournament Cesc managed to win the Golden Ball (Player of the tournament) and Golden Shoe (Top goalscorer with five goals). His most important goal was the golden goal winner in the 117th minute of the semi-final against Argentina. However Spain were defeated in the final, losing 1-0 to Brazil.
