Notes              : At the start of the 2000/01 season was playing for the Las Palmas B team but after injuries was called up to the first team five weeks into the season. He has continued to play since then showing impressive form which has led to rumours of a possible move to a big club like Deportivo La Coruna at the end of the season. Joined Villarreal in a £4m move from Las Palmas in the middle of 2001.
