Notes              : Joined Manchester United from small Scottish club Delkeith after interesting all of England's and Scotland's biggest teams. Was eligible for Ireland but chose to represent Scotland. Played very well for Manchester United's U/17s and reserves in 1999/00. Almost made his first team debut at 16 vs Aston Villa in the last game of the Premier League in 1999/00 but could not as he was still a schoolboy and not registered. A broken bone and other foot injuries halted his progress for a few years. Fletcher made his full international Scottish debut in August 2003 against Norway.
