Notes              : Signed a new four and a half year deal in 2002 with Chelsea after an impressive youth and reserve team campaign where he scored twenty seven goals with the youth side and ten goals for the reserves. Scored his first goal for the Chelsea first team in April 2002. Tall player but is still a good dribbler and goalscorer. In November 2002 he went out on loan to Wolverhampton. Cole was loaned out to Charlton for the 2002/03 season. Despite having already scored seven goals in nineteen games for Chelsea, the heavy spending by Chelsea over the middle of 2003 meant that he would only receive limited chances during the following season.
