Notes              : Scored two goals for Ethiopia at the African U/17 Championships in 2001 but the failed to qualify for the World U/17 Championships. Scored three goals at the African U/20 Championships in the same year as Ethiopia, the hosts, finished fourth which enabled them to qualify for the World Youth Cup later on in 2001. Was top goalscorer for Ethiopian Electric Power Corporation (EEPC) with 20 goals. Was signed by Vitesse Arnhem in 2002 from EEPC who have previously signed young African stars such as Mahamadou Diarra, Matthew Amoah and Mamadou Zongo.
